3. Hosting and server logs
The website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. The web server processes technically required data such as IP address, date and time, requested files, browser/operating system information, referrer URL (if transmitted) and hostname. Processing is necessary for technical provision, system security, error analysis and abuse prevention. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The actual retention period of server logs depends on the hosting configuration.
4. SSL/TLS encryption
The website uses HTTPS to encrypt content and form data in transit.
5. Cookies and tracking
No analytics, marketing or tracking cookies are used. We do not use Google Analytics, Matomo, Facebook Pixel or comparable profiling services.
6. Contact form
The contact form allows you to submit company, contact person, email address, phone number, subject and message. Required fields are marked. Data is used solely to handle your inquiry and is forwarded to Ernst Pieper GmbH by email. The website does not maintain a separate customer database for form submissions.
Depending on the inquiry, legal bases include Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR and, where consent is relied upon, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
For abuse prevention, the form uses an invisible honeypot and server-side rate limiting. The IP address is processed only in hashed form for short-term checking of repeated submissions; the technical rate-limit file is designed for a maximum window of 10 minutes. No third-party CAPTCHA service is used.
7. Email and phone contact
Information submitted by email or phone is processed to handle your inquiry and, where applicable, for contract handling. Statutory retention duties remain unaffected.
8. Maps and route planning
The directions page first loads only a locally hosted static location graphic. Only when you click a route or map link do you leave our website and open Google Maps. The external provider's privacy rules then apply. No automatic connection to Google Maps is made when simply viewing our page.
9. Fonts and external content
The website does not load fonts from Google Fonts or comparable external font services. Local or system fonts available on the device are used. External social feeds, videos or analytics widgets are not automatically embedded.
10. Retention
Personal data is processed only for as long as required for the relevant purpose or statutory retention obligations. Business correspondence may be retained in accordance with commercial and tax law.
11. Your rights
Subject to the statutory conditions, you have rights including access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), objection (Art. 21) and withdrawal of consent for the future (Art. 7(3)).
12. Right to complain
You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible in Rhineland-Palatinate is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Rhineland-Palatinate, Hintere Bleiche 34, 55116 Mainz, Germany.
13. Data security
Appropriate technical and organisational measures are used to protect personal data against loss, manipulation and unauthorised access.
14. Automated decisions
No automated decision-making, including profiling under Art. 22 GDPR, takes place.
15. Changes
This privacy policy may be updated where technical or legal changes require it.
